About East Grampians

 

With extensive facilities at Ararat and Willaura, East Grampians Health Service has undergone a transformation over the past five years through a $16 million injection of funding to deliver state of the art new facilities. Providing a range of acute, residential, home and community based services, East Grampians Health Service supports a regional population of 12,000 people, centered primarily in Ararat (population 8000) which is two hours from Melbourne.

 

East Grampians Health Service offers a wealth of support to its communtiy, including:-

 

- Cardiac stress testing - Chemotherapy
- Emergency Care - Home based care
- Ear, Nose & Throat - Haemodialysis
- Dental - Surgery
- Allied and Community Health Services - Opthamology
- Obstetrics - Aged care
- Gynaecology  

 

East Grampians Health Service provides a range of diagnostic services, including pathology and various medical imaging, while Emergency Care is supported through a direct air ambulance link to Melbourne provided by a state-of-the-art helicopter landing pad at the Ararat campus.

 

East Grampians Health Service enjoys a flourishing relationship with it's local community, while numerous overseas staff have contributed to the strong sense of community among the Health Service employees at East Grampians.
